We sell a product that does this on Windows in our document management business.

"OCR for AnyDoc" can process IFS-based documents including those in Tiff Group 3 (fax format) . It will do:

- OCR (Machine Print Recognition)
- ICR (Hand-print Recognition)
- Mark sense
- Bar codes (1 & 2 dimensional)

and return the contents of zones on a document in an file that can easily be integrated into an AS/400 application.
