When you run interative all the file/pgms are in one job stream and program
adoption can take place. Which is what I think is happening. The adopt
authority on the pgm objects is so you can adopted authority from previous
program levels.

If you are using program adopt for the security, a SBMJOB stops that as it is a
new job. Make sure that the program you are submitting has the correct
authority (owner, adopt, etc) and it should be okay.

subject: Losing Authority to a file in Batch

I think I've seen this before but I can't remember what the solution is.

I have a program that is accessing a file for input only. When the
program is run interactively it works fine, but when it is submitted to
batch I receive errors that the user is not authorized to the file. Can
anyone tell me what causes this?
