Dave,

Troy got it working here after talking to IBM. Seems there are two
solutions:
1) when you want to use legal, you have to
a) Stop the writer
b) Vary the device off
c) Change some parameters on the device description
d) Vary the device back on
e) Start the writer
Switching back is a reversal of the steps.
2) Or you can use the WSCST. However all printouts will then go to that
drawer. That's not quite what we had in mind either.

Re: Printing legal to another drawer

I had a similar issue setting the default drawer that our copier was
printing to. Ultimately I had to use create a workstation customizing
object and specify it in the WSCST parameter of CHGOUTQ. I can review the
specific changes that I did if you like. You might want to take a look at
the following:

I can take a normal print screen and do a chgsplfa and get it to print on
drawer two. However I cannot get this to print on drawer two, even after
loading legal paper and setting the indicator on the drawer to legal.

It always goes to drawer 1 instead.

It is hooked up to a Marknet X2000.

CreatePrint can handle the second drawer, with legal, just fine.
