resources > option 5 on the Tape Library displays the detail > F9 allows you
to change it.  Two zeros will be added to the serial number when you do
this, possibly to show that it was manually changed. (e.g. 13-00xxxxx)

I did look at STRSST but did not find anything that would let me change the
serial number.  As close as I could get was to change the description from
"TAP02" to whatever but that didn't get at the serial number but it showed
it.  When I printed out the system config from the Hardware Service Manager,
it showed the 3570 tape library but not the individual tape device????
