I can heartily recommend Mozilla Firebird, then. Get the extension called Flash Click To View (http://texturizer.net/firebird/extensions/#flashclick); then, instead of flash animations running, you get a box saying, "Click to view animation". Not exactly what you asked for, but it might well fill your needs.

Mozilla Firebird (especially with extensions) rocks.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm already using Moz Firebird. The "Flash Click" extension took seconds to install, and does indeed meet my needs.


I'll definitely have to look at the other extensions as well!
