I've used products from RJS Software to do this. <www.rjssoft.com> Spooled output is downloaded from monitored output queues, then data is extracted according to specifications you set up - position on page - things do not need to be all in the same row, but they do need to be in predictable locations. Free form does not work.

The result can be converted to any number of different formats, including Excel and PDF, etc. And can be put on a Web archive or emailed or .....

Rob mentioned Monarch - I looked at it but settled on RJS some years ago.

These days you can print to PDFs with InfoPrint server. I don't know whether PDFs can be imported/exported to Excel or opened in Excel.
