All,

Looking at the QSYSOPR screen I see a host of messages informing the
operator that a specific form type is required for a specified printer.
The system automatically replies with a 'G' to continue after the form type
has been loaded. I know that the printer never changes the paper , I have
two options here
1. change all the CL programs and printer files to use form type *STD ,
therefore no change msg will appear
2. change the printer writer to not display a message.

Option 1 would be the preferred but incur the most time. Therefore in the
mean time option 2 would be the easiest. I do however have a problem - how
do I change the default writer option ? If I use CHGWTR it temporarily
changes the message option, but if the writer is restarted it returns to the
default value , being *INQMSG - which displays the message on the console.

My train of thought here is to reduce the amount of messageson the console -
so that only the important messages are displayed.
