Move disk from ASP1 to ASP2

How would you go about removing (logically) a RAID set of 6 drives from
the system ASP and add them to ASP2.  ASP2 already exists with a RAID
set of 10 drives.  I just want to add more capacity by moving the 6
drives.  

I already know how to drain the data on those drives (I'm at V5R2) using
the STRASPBAl functions while the system is up in normal operations.
But for logically removing the drives from ASP1 and reassigning to ASP2,
I haven't found any options with the system up under SST or DST (forced
DST via opt 21 at panel).  Is the only way to do this via DST from an
IPL? I was hoping to avoid a very early morning (2am) trip to the
computer room.
