Ditto. I tried it once on a development box, and all kinds of things got

Mark,

  Stay away from it.  There is no support for it on any of the new 
controllers so I'd expect it to go away completely fairly soon.
  I have never seen an iSeries with compression enabled and the only guy 
I've every talked to that has turned it on is Al.
