This is the hardware interface. i.e. the way that iNav gets into service tools. Unless this service table entry is there when TCP/IP Starts it will not start this service. This is the only one I know of that works this way. So to get it going you will need to restart TCP. Go ahead and restart it, just tell the users gremlins got into your system!!

I reccomend this command exactly to add the entry:

ADDSRVTBLE SERVICE('as-sts') PORT(3000) PROTOCOL('tcp') TEXT('Service Tools') ALIAS(’AS-STS')

12. Change TCP/IP domain information
Host name . . . . . . . . . . . 'GDIHQ' Domain name . . . . . . . . . . 'dekko-1'
10. Work with TCP/IP host table entries
Internet Host
Address Name
10.10.1.211 GDIHQ GDIHQ.GDI1.SNA.IBM.COM
QGDIHQ GDIHQ.DEKKO-1
I just changed it to:
10.10.1.211 GDIHQ GDIHQ.GDI1.SNA.IBM.COM
QGDIHQ GDIHQ.dekko-1
But have not recycled TCP/IP. Since that didn't seem to do squat on our test iSeries I was loathe to kick everyone off to do this, when testing shows a low probability of success.
