Actually, this system hasn't been moved into production yet, so I can clear
out all of the job queues and output queues. 

Of course first I'm going to try to determine what caused so many jobs to
get submitted. We have not had this problem on other similar systems.

        We automatically delete any spool file over 90 days old.  Critical
data 
        should not be retained solely in a spool file.  In general, they are

        saved with any of the IBM standard utilities.
