Steve, I find that if I enter the archives from the menu on the left< the calendar is not there. If I come in from the links on the archives link on the main page, the calendar shows up, too.

Now are Boolean searches and quoted strings usable in the archives? I don't remember whether they've worked the way I'd like. Of course, if it takes google, then David's cost issue is understandable. I like haivng a link to Google - can a search parameter be sent as part of that link? Without paying for it? <g>

I like the new search results layout, esp because I dont have to use refresh
in my IE browser each time I return to the search result.   But I would like
to be able to dismiss the calender column so that there is more space for
the search results text.

It would also be neat to be able to only search posts of certain people.
Like Hans and Barbara on the RPG list.
