Hans,

although i lament the lack of decent places to smoke anymore, i understand
the non-smoker's issues.

now, automatic scoring on the other hand, I have no problem with it!
there's no cheating or mistakes (yes, i've seen people mark down the wrong
score on a sheet - even though the pinsetter sometimes does make a
mistake), and it gives me more free time to drink and smoke!

;)

Well, we've had non-smoking bowling alleys for a couple of years
now. (Actually, almost all public places here are that way now.) For
those of us who rather dislike the smell of cigarette smoke, it does
make the game much more enjoyable. If I had my way, I wouldn't even
allow smoking in cars on the road. Some of us can even smell that
evil weed in other cars!

On the other hand, if you want to talk about disturbing trends in
bowling, they just installed (brrrr) automatic scoring to my alley!
Sacrilege, I say! Sacrilege! Perhaps 10-pin bowlers need mechanical
help in adding their scores, but those vile computer monitors have
no place in the 5-pin alley.

;-)

Cheers! Hans
