That's actually what I did... I replaced the cache battery pack for the
DC01 IOA.  It's basically: power down, slide off side cover, remove
cable from (bottom) board, remove board, remove battery casing, replace
battery pack, replace casing, replace board, replace cable, replace
cover, power up.  The hard part is that the battery pack is held in by
this plastic casing that has a tongue-and-lip piece that snaps into a
slot in the actual board, and you get it in and out with a screwdriver
and more force than I'm comfortable with.  I came this><close to having
a service rep come in, but I knuckled down and did it.

I got the part from IBM.  I reported the problem on Wednesday, had the
part in hand Friday.
