James--

One thing we have come across is that electronic report distribution
products can be implemented much easier if there is a consistent order to
these fields in report headings. While you may not currently be looking at
any of these tools, all it takes is one of the company officers to see one
in a trade rag or at a show, and it will be the next must-have. These
products index the reports for storage on DASD or CD-ROM, and if the fields
used for indexing them are in the same place on the page, it makes a world
of difference when you configure and install the product.

I'm creating the first of several reports and would like for them to be
consistent. In the "O" specs I want to put program name, report title,
page number, date, and time. I've seen these things laid out in a variety
of orders for lots of different reasons. Thoughts on what should go where
and why? TIA.
