If the standard lacks the functionality, and some other way does provide
that functionality for you, then we are in agreement - use that other way.
I am not interested in standards that hold us back. However, I am very
interested in developing common goals and methods that allow us to build
on common grounds. I am interested in having a voice in those goals and
methods. I feel that the web standards try to fill both those ideals.
Insofar as they fail to meet them I strongly support making changes. I am
strongly against any standard that requires me to obtain a license or
enter into a contract with any entity.

Mine do. And not just Netscape but any browser they like.
