| I see your point.. and I'm responding to this as if
| this as if this is really going to happen <Ha>... but
| take in mind that the 'pixie dust' conference room
| isn't full of nerds. It is full of Executives that are
| wearing ties, it just so happens that the nerdiest of
| the executives (perhaps he's the IT Manager) answers
| all the questions in the prior commercials.

Well, I'll chip in my $.02 worth, and do it in cash as well...Hehe...;-D
But here's the thing: That IS /the/ PROBLEM. The folks in the boardrooms
are turning to the geeks for answers, instead of turning to common sense...

Some are more geek than others, and the geekiest may impress the *most*..
but frequently /don't even know the questions./ (In general, the answers
are /defined by the question asked/perceived/...) Joe's thread on SSA is
just the tip of the iceberg in business-as-usual today. (Most everybody on
this list has some fair bit-a geek in them, I know, including m'self... But
the pure gearhead (for example, prevalent in the academic community) kind is
gonna lead decisions in the wrong direction, in most-all cases.)
