Just a note: there is an industry standard specification of "100% Pure
Java" which indicates that you do NOT use OS-specific classes, and thus,
if your entire application is built from 100% Pure Java components, you
can be assured that it will run wherever there is a JVM.

Of course, the iSeries is always an exception, since it is a headless
JVM (no GUI), but that's a different issue.
