Working in S36 mode still works and is good enough (we still have S36 
application). the problem that you may have is how to move the data from the 
S36 to the AS/400. It is hard to fing an 8" disk drive for an AS/400.

Blast from the past....
I have a client that has a S/36 (a real S36 not a AS/36).  They would like
to move to the AS400.  I have suggested they first run in S36 emulation
mode.   What is the last OS release to support this function and is it a
pretty straight forward job to do the conversion?
