There is a section in the Query Management Programming book that tells you what should come across when using RTVQMQRY and RTVQMFORM. You can find the manual in InfoCenter under Database manuals.

Remember, this is not the Query Manager book.

I have researched this in the archives and thought I found the solution

against a query definition, I don't get any of the query's formatting.

The response:
"Run RTVQMFORM on the query and then CRTQMFORM. Specify your form in
STRQMQRY. Pete Hall"
My problem is that the column headings were retained but the numeric
data formatting was not.
I had already been passing parms OK (using ALWQRYDFN *Yes).
I tried the RTV and CRT commands above and then used the form in the
STRQMQRY command in my CL. Looks the same. Column heading OK. Numeric
formatting not.
