RE: Why is there a 4-8 hour lead time for my messages to appear?

It always takes a long time (several hours) for me to receive messages back
from both this and the RPG list. 
This has stopped me answering things that I know I can help with as I know
that by the time my answer arrives it will have been answered by someone
else and the discussion will have moved on...

I've posted a (very) few replies in the last few weeks, all of which have
had a 4 to 8 hour lead time before they show up on the list.  A message sent
at 1:28 finally popped up at 5:31 today.

On some of the questions on this list (at least the ones I've submitted), an
answer the next day is not what is desired.

Is this why some of the threads go on for WAY longer than it seems they
should, with 40 or 50 answers to one question?

Are others having this same issue?  Or are the lists just that busy?  This
is not a new problem either, so we can't blame it on "the worm".

I know this should be a private email to David, but I don't have that email
address.
