Currently we have the following machines:

270 - Boss' toy. First machine to get new versions of OS/400 and/or
Domino.
840 - LPAR'ed machine. Lots of production
820 - Development. Second to get new versions of OS/400. Does all
compiles, etc.
270 - This 270 is our web server
270 - This 270 is our backup for our email. Hey, you can have a hot site
for email but not that trivial stuff like payroll or order entry.

We are looking at putting both the 820 and the web serving 270 as two
separate partitions on the 840. One major goal being able to afford a
Mimix solution and upgrading the backup email 270 machine to be our Mimix
backup machine. This would drop us down from all these to:
270 - Boss' toy
840, (or newer box)
270 (probably newer box) for Mimix

I like having a separate development box. And, LPAR speaking, we will.
But is there any drawbacks to consider?
