I don't know the answer to your question, but you are likely keeping this
older system powered off. Set the power scheduler to IPL once a week, and
then power off, and the system's cause of senility will go away.

Hello,

I have an older machine that periodically forgets it's system
password. Last time was about three years ago, so I've forgotten how I got

it re-generated.

Who at IBM owns the system password generator?

I tried 800-IBM-SERV, they said it's not them, try marketing.

The screen says to contact marketing, they said it's not them, try
IBM-SERV.

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone at 800-IBM-4YOU, and they said
they didn't know, try marketing.

Anyone know the *real* answer?

Thank you!

Regards,
Rich
