Hey folks,

Stumbled on this last week (was mentioned in two Computerworld articles in
the 8/4/2003 addition
:http://www.computerworld.com/softwaretopics/software/groupware/story/0,1080
1,83689,00.html and
http://www.computerworld.com/softwaretopics/software/groupware/story/0,10801
,83684,00.html).

I have been putting it through its' paces with absolutely AMAZING results
in "filtering" Spam. It is called SpamBayes. The current crop of anti-Spam
software relies on the Paul Graham algorithm and it tends to produce a lot
of "false-positives" so the folks that wrote this, while acknowledging that
was a good approach, thought it could be better; so they came up with
SpamBayes which you "train" to. See: http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/ for
more information. It is an OpenSource project too !

It is DEFINITELY worth taking a look at. I am using the Outlook Add-In. It
does take a bit of work to get it going but it is WELL worth it !

Chuck
