Instructions on DVD-optical drive cleaning kit (19P0489) directed our computer
operator to "1. Open Windows and insert Lens Cleaner into CD-ROM, DVD, or
DVD-RAM drive. 2) Select "Run" from the "start" or "file" menu in the Program
Manager. 3) Type D:\LENS.EXE and click on OK (If "D" is not your CD-ROM, DVD,
or DVD-RAM drive letter, substitute with correct drive letter). 4) Program will
begin. Click on desired language. Cleaning program will begin automatically..."

Has anyone used one of these kits? If we put the cleaning disk in the optical
reader we cannot access the reader device from our network to execute the
program residing on the "D:" drive. Are not ".exe" objects programs that are
executed on PC's and not the iSeries? The disk does need to be placed in the
optical disk reader since the disk does have brushes protruding from the lower
surface to perform the cleaning. We have gone to the source of our purchase for
an answer to this question and have waited weeks for an answer. We need to find
the answer due to a workload backing up.
