Instead of having hardcodes , you could generate the FTP scripts from an
RPG program dynamically, as required , in a (single) member in a source
physical file (in qtemp for example) , and then process the commands from
there. The RPG program should of course be able to generate the file names
to be transferred.

Hi all,

Is it a best practice to use multi-member Physical File for FTP script for
multiple file transfer?
Each member in the PF contains FTP script for different files.
Files need to be transfered from a non-AS/400 server to the IFS using a
auto
batch CL.

Is there any other way so that we can avoid hardcoding the file name in FTP
script and use a single
FTP script for all different files?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
