You probably want to use the QNTC directory in the IFS ... This directory is
the equivalent of the SMB client on your PC and allows access to other NT
servers in the network.

Subject: New drive mapping question

A co-worker heard that you could map an NT network drive and make the
iseries think it was part of the IFS. He wants to create a program to write
a file directly to this NT drive. We do not have the FSIOP (or nom du jour).
Could someone please point me in the right direction ? I asked the info
center, but everything seemed to be pointing the other way. Where you assign
a drive letter on your PC to a share on the IFS.
Thanks for any help.
