It amazes me that ABSTRACT is unable to handle the RPG Cycle. NOMAIN has
only been around a few years yet ABSTRACT is a seasoned product, developed
long before NOMAIN came along. ABSTRACT handled all the programs back then,
why wouldn't it now?

When you say "obsolete objects" do you mean they are obsolete to the
application and no longer in use by the system? Or they are obsolete
because they are old-fashioned? Or are they obsolete because they are very
old RPGII programs and contain OPCODEs that are no longer supported by
OS/400?

There is no 'easy' way to identify, which of your RPG programs (source), are
fully utilizing the RPG cycle
logic, which is the inherent backbone of RPG.
You will have to 'eyeball', every program, just for general flow, to
determine which programs are fully
dependent on the 'cycle'
As someone already mentioned in this thread, there's no magic bullet.
