I had a problem a while back with case and ODBC that was not the same as
yours
http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200304/msg01811.html
but I did learn that case is very important when doing ODBC to an iSeries.

The end result is to always think in upper case when dealing with an
iSeries, it seems to like that much better, even though some of the more PC
oriented folks wont like it.

Subject: Is ODBC -really- case sensitive?

Dear Group,

We've bumped into an interesting situation-- ODBC seems to be case
sensitive when accessing files on our AS/400s. If a file name is
entered in upper-case, ODBC has no problem finding things. Use lower
case, and it's as if the file doesn't exist.

I gave the archives a quick scan and didn't find anything about case
sensitivity that applies to my question. Can someone point me in the
right direction?

Thanks!
