If this is a LAN attached 3995 I don't know why it wouldn't work. The
documentation I have says that the 3995 Models C40/C42/C44/C46/C48 are not
supported after V4R5 but does not mention the C20. You will need to verify
whether it is Token-ring or ethernet attached. The question is what are
you planning on using it for? A 3995 C20 only has a 52 GB capacity.

subject: Old optical library - help!

Folks --

We have an optical library (model 3995-C20). The tag on the back shows
it manufactured in January of 1997. It was connected to our old AS/400
(620) at one point, but never used. It is not connected to our current
iSeries (820).

Apparently it was LAN-connected to the old 620, via an OS/2 PC.

Can anyone out there tell me if I can still use the device, how I would
connect it to my 820, or anything else that might help me figure out
what to do with this thing?

Thanks!
