Just last night, I configured a dell on-line.

Diskette drives are optional.  I haven't used a diskette at work in more
than a year, so I don't believe I need one anymore.

There's nothing I can put on a 3.5 that I can't email, so what's the
purpose?

Mike: I've read somewhere that some computer manufacturers are
starting to ship PC's without diskette drives. So in the next few
years, diskette drives may not be so ubiquitous anymore.
