I used the command below to successfully copy the spool file into an IFS
folder:

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(MYWORKFILE) TOSTMF('HOME/FKANY/MYDOCUMENT.DOC') MBROPT
(*REPLACE)
      TOCCSID(*FILE) STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) RCDDLM(*CRLF) DTAFMT(*FIXED)
