'fraid not. While I don't have the readme for the actual Linux install of
the XML extenders I quote from the install.txt for FixPack9 of the XML
Extenders for Linux:

Operating System - (Intel only) Linux kernel 2.2.12 or higher,
                   glibc 2.1.2 or higher, libstdc++ 2.9.0

Note the "Intel Only" part. Something often overlooked in the iSeries
implementation of Linux is that the iSeries is Power4 based while the
majority of Linux software in the world is targeted at the Intel platform.

PS. However, as has been pointed out, there is an iSeries-native version
too.
