Hi Folks,

Well I am in tape drive he** again.

Our IBM 9427-210 8mm tape unit is acting up once again and IBM is out here
for the third time in as many days (NOT knocking them; this things is
frustrating.).

It starts to do a backup and after 10-15 minutes it gets:

CPI5922 - Device description TAP01 is not usable at this time.

and a couple of seconds latter:

CPF6786 - Interface check on the device. Interface check on input/output
processor CMB02 and device TAP01.

If you do have one can you tell me what it shows as on the front panel of
the drive itself ? Ours shows 7331 whatever THAT is.

And on the AS/400 is shows as a 7208.

Thanks,

Chuck
