Hi Jack,

When you install a secondary language you get a QSYSxxxx library with some
objects from QSYS translated. This would include message members, menus etc.
The xxxx is the number that tells you which language (2924 English, 2929
German, etc). Not everything is translated though - for example if you go to
the performance tools menu in a secondary language environment that's
usually still in English, as is second level text etc.
To look at the english version of the message you could look by message
number (DSPMSGD if I remember rightly).
It's useful to look at commands with F11 as this displays the keywords which
are of course not translated. Or to get a translation of a menu etc you just
need to change your/their language, which you do by CHGSYSLIBL QSYS2929 for
example. You need to be *Secofr to use CHGSYSLIBL, and it only changes the
order of the QSYS libraries for your sign-on session.
