We've had numerous people who've had lots of complaints using older
versions of Client Access with newer versions of operating system.
The first thing the help desk does is upgrade them upon complaining. Not
very proactive. But then again, not everyone seems to be affected.
YMMV.

Subject: Client Access V3* and OS V5R2

Hi Everyone,

We're about to upgrade two clients (8 machines in total) from V5R1 to
V5R2,
and they still have quite a lot of users on Client Access V3R2. The V5R1
memo to users suggests this will not even work (although we know it does),
and I can't find anything in the V5R2 planning information that says
definitively yes or no.

Is anyone on V5R2 and connecting with Client Access V3** ?

I know we should be getting them to Express, and we are slowly with new
users. Unfortunately we don't control their desktop environment and
they've
been resisting a mass upgrade (just because of a resource issue I
believe).
We will of course keep pushing them to upgrade even if they can connect to
V5R2, but I need to know if this is a show stopper. (We're installing new
825s that requies V5R2 which they want ASAP, so I guess they will upgrade
their Client Access versions in a hurry if they have to).

Thanks in advance
