I need a short tutorial on creating a folder on the IFS (not in QDLS) and
being able to access it from the iSeries and a user PC.

1) Can I do this from OS400? Or am I stuck with OpsNav?
2) What are the steps to create and share this folder?
3) How do I reference this folder from the PC?

In addition to the answers you've already received Trevor, I've not found a way to connect to an NT share that is not in the same domain as the AS400, and the user ID and password must match EXACTLY on the AS400 and the NT domain. That having been said, it's easy to use a special user ID to connect with NT via the profile APIs, and the IS-Toolkit has a ton of useful stuff to implement that (http://sourceforge.net/projects/iseries-toolkit/). I use it a lot. Look at the UNIX and USRPRF service programs.
