Not true - someone is very confused. The new SQL engine was written in C++ on AIX servers with executables, etc., brought over via IBM's internal mechanisms. Things are no longer written on mainframes, as they used to be, for AS/400. Now it's on AIX. In fact, new SLIC work is done in C++. No Linux anywhere, as far as development is concerned.

Now what is microcode and what is SLIC? and what is XPF anymore?
