Are you sure your setting in the system values is correct (qstruppgm)
And I would check to make sure the object exists too -
Who is the owner - do they have enough authority to run the job(s)
you want to run during start-up?
See if you have any logs after the IPL which may explain anything
if these are not any of your issues.

Typically putting the modified script in qsys is not advisable,
but that should be ok as long as your system values are correct.

Hello all,

I IPL our system weekly for application of PTFs and whatever else needs the
IPL for. But now my startup script doesn't seem to be running properly. I
know QSTRUP is the CL that starts everything. I added a line to do a submit
job for our custom startup, but it never seems to run. The custom startup is
in QGPL. Could it be that the library list isn't set up properly? That is my
only thought on why it isn't working right now. The modified script is in
QSYS.
