If you want to put the JOBD attributes into a file, no. You either make a list of JOBDs from the DSPOBJD output to a file, as suggested, then use DSPJOBD OUTPUT(*PRINT) or use an API (QWDRJOBD) in a loop. The main reason there is not an OUTFILE, I suspect, is because of the presence of a list element - the initial library list. Objects with lists in them tend not to have outfiles. Consider SBSDs, e.g.

Now the INLLIBL is limited to 250 libraries in recent releases, so a 2500-character field would cover it.

The API looks good - the information is returned in a single variable - the last portion is not defined, since it is variable - you'd need to add the INLLIBL part. There are /COPYs and #includes in QSYSINC.

I bet Al has a tool for this. ;-)

One more thing, is there a job that I can run to list the JOB Descriptions
to a file?
