RE: Active Server Pages

In fairness I've not seen this particular product, but I've looked at
others. They do handle "pure" ASP rather well, but the power of ASP is the
ability to talk to COM objects -- be that ADO, PDF-handlers, custom COM
objects, XML parsers, etc. I've not seen a COM environment in these
products. There is a weak COM to Java bridge, but then you get to the issue
of available COM components vs. Java components.

iASP: http://www.stryon.com/products.asp?s=1 will run ASPs on OS/400 and
pretty much anything else.  The Chilisoft product used to but it's no longer
listed since Sun took it over.

I've no affiliation with and have not used either product.

know, understand, believe in ASP.  I know this is a M$ product.  Is there
