Jim,

It sounds like the operator panel has been locked so that you can't change the
config. Do you have the manual for the 6400? If not, I can look up the key
sequence to unlock it.

Subject: Model 6400 printer conversion

We recently relocated some equipment and now need to be able to print to
our IBM 6400 printer by ethernet rather than Twinax as has been done in the
past. There has been some discussion recently related to our needs, but
our question is how to change the printer itself. Currently it is
configured as Twinax and any attempts to change it result in a message of
"locked" on the printers LCD. We have an IBM Network Print Server (PN
30H4054) connected to the printer but no information on how to configure it
(such as the IP address).

Thank you

 Jim Hawkins
