Thanks,

I will have a look at this document to try to create a WSCST object.

The language setting on my pc (keyboard language that is) is English. The
CCSID of the AS400 is 65535. The job CCSID of the application is derived
from the user profile's CCSID which is 297. I have also changed the default
CCSID of Client Access on my pc to 297, and the profile that is used by CA
to connect to the AS400 is 297.
It might be interesting to note that the application is a french software,
and the supplier has told me that his s/w has been running correctly on
AS400 with CCSID's of 297.
As I pointed out last time, my supplier in France connected via internet to
our AS400, using SYMTRAX terminal emulation pgm (on a french language pc) ,
generated the printer commands in the spool, and on the AS400 he sees the
characters correctly, he sent the spool to the printer and the correct
characters were transmitted. However when I look at his spools, I do not
see the same characters !
Seems you are right, there might be it is the settings on my pc/emulation
pgm that need to get adjusted.

Try Workstation Customization Programming at
<http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/books/c4156050.pdf>

But this looks like something solvable with appropriate settings on your
various devices. You might try a hex dump at the printer of what gets
printed, to see what is coming across.

BTW, what is the language setting of your PC? Of your 400? Of your jobs?
And look at the attributes of FTP.
