These are the libraries where your customized changes to IBM objects are
saved for upgrades. QINSYS holds your customized values, QINMEDIA contains
the values shipped on the installation CD's, QINPRIOR contains the values
from the previous release. This is so that you can compare job
descriptions, subsystem descriptions, etc. after an upgrade.

subject: QINMEDIA, QINPRIOR and QINSYS libraries

I was poking around the system Sunday after an IPL and a 10k rpm disk drive
failure and came across *SBSD for most of our subsystems in libraries
QINMEDIA, QINPRIOR AND QINSYS in addition to QSYS. Just kind of curious as
to what these libraries are for as I had never seen them before.

As an example of what I am talking about, here is what a WRKOBJ
OBJ(*ALL/QBATCH) OBJTYPE(*SBSD) from this morning shows:

QBATCH *SBSD QINMEDIA Batch Subsystem
QBATCH *SBSD QINPRIOR Batch Subsystem
QBATCH *SBSD QINSYS Batch Subsystem
QBATCH *SBSD QSYS Batch Subsystem

QSYS I understand but what are the other libraries for?
