If you really need to display the name of the surrogate user and not just
"User Logged on" as Simon suggested, perhaps you could code the exit point
to issue a OVRMSGF and drop a customer TCP11AF for each session into 
QTEMP.
The custom message would include the name of the user for this connection.

Since the message is being sent by the FTP server and it appears to use 
the 
profile name profiled by the exit point you cannot control the contents of 

the message substitution data ... however you can control whether that 
data 
is displayed.

Change message TCP11AF in the QTCPMSGF file to read:
                 230 User logged on.

That might satisfy your requirement. Note that QTCPMSGF appears in QTCP 
and 
QSYS and any NLS libraries you may have installed.
