ALCOBJ and DLCOBJ V5R1 intermittant issue

I post this with only small hope that someone can help.
I have a job that occasionally leaves a file locked.

We are  a 730 V5R1 cume2134.  I am doing cume3007 this wkend.

I have code that has worked for years and even now is mostly OK, but
 ALCOBJ     OBJ((&FLIB/&FILE *FILE *EXCL))
DLCOBJ     OBJ((&FLIB/&FILE *FILE *EXCL))
occasionally leaves a file locked.

The CLP calls another CLP that also does the same ALC and DLC
to the same file.  This was never a problem in the past. Is it
an issue now.  I notice the ALCOBJ and DLCOBJ commands have
changed for V5R1.

I am just clutching at straws (glub glub) TIA.
