Mark,

You might be on to something, I did have this in the startup, but I
removed it and I think I am still experiencing the issue. I know the
Cisco VPN was the culprit in the IBM community tools not running... My
situation is better, as far as timeout intervals, but I still got
disconnected, regardless of Cisco not running...

Regards,
Uros

We have experienced this problem in Windows 2000/XP PC's that had the
Cisco VPN Client installed, even if they were not connected to the VPN.
Our workaround was to change the VPN service to startup manually, and
then
we instructed the user's how to start the service prior to connecting to

the VPN.

Hope this helps.

Mark

Subject: CAE timing out very quickly

All,

I am experiencing problems with my CAE sessions, they are being timed
out/disconnected after only 5 minutes or so of inactivity. I am on V5R1,
and the QINACTIV sysval is set at *none. Is there anything on my PC that
would be doing this (a TCP/Ip setting of some sort, perhaps). This
problem is unique to my machine, for some reason.
