Hu Ray

I think TABS are pretty useless in SEU. You enter TABS over a sequence number and press Enter, then put any character where you want the cursor to move to.

 Columns . . . : 1 80 Edit
 SEU==>
 FMT ** ...+... 1 ...+... 2 ...+... 3 ...+... 4 ...+... 5 ...+... 6
        *************** Beginning of data ***************************
TABS - -
0001.00
0002.00

You don't use the TAB key to move from one to the next, you use the Enter key.

You need to turn on tab usage in the attributes screen you get with the F13 key.

Yuk!

Normal use of tab is to move to the next field on a green screen, field exit clears the contents after the cursor and goes to the next field.

Hi all,

I was trying to work with SEU, and I got really frustrated: I wanted to set
tabs (to cruise across the line more easily), and no matter what I seemed to
do, my TAB key gives me a line-feed-carriage-return, and my RETURN key move
across the tab stops. I tried to find out what I was doing wrong , but I
can't see that I did anything wrong...I even checked my keyboard mapping
(which, BTW, works correctly in every other instance).

TIA :-)
