Need specific model Lexmark.
Also is this IBM IPDS card or other (which?)
Are you using the true IPDS options or the SCS/TN5250 config on the printer?
Ethernet (*lan) connect or Twinax?
What release OS400?
Do you have PSF400? and a PSFCFG object for the printer (see wrkpsfcfg).
