AFAIK the S36 does not do APPC (slightly lying here as it has been done
shakily via the comm port but not stable enough for prime time).  Your only
alternative for LAN attach is to run OS400 on the box which then gives you
TCP/IP access.  SNA access is no longer worth the trouble.

Depending on whether they are running *M36 or S36e you "map" the TCP/IP
device to an S36 device one way or antherr.
